Unlike the previous game, the fighting engine has been completely revamped. A player can choose to either attack, defend or reserve a move during any one turn and any reserved moves are added to the next turn, for a maximum of eight moves in a turn. The more attacks that are performed in one turn, the greater the damage caused. In addition, the creatures are divided into different « types », each with a strength and weakness to another.

“We’re trying to get a game tomorrow. That’s where our focus lies,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said postgame. “Hopefully we can go be this amazing story and shock the world, but right now it’s about trying to get a lead, trying to grab a game and force another one and then on from there.
